Explaining About The Homunculus At The Kinesio Taping Course

Sports Solutions hosted the Kinesio Taping Level 1-2 course today and no surprises, the course was fully subscribed.

It was bright sunshine after the early morning storm and the day started with explaining the science and rationale behind how Kinesio Taping works.

After my own learning journey from the Anatomy Train courses, lessons from Andrew Hutton, Flossband (with Sven Kruse) and David Butler, I can definitely explain and teach the course better. Well, I'd better because I had to explain what the homunculus was to the class.

Of course we spent some time going through anatomy and surface landmarks.

Treating Bertrand's Hip Made His Shoulder Better

Other than treating patients, I like teaching too (sometimes). To make sure I can answer all the questions I get, I need to put in extra effort to keep myself updated and it keeps me on my toes. I always like to keep improving myself.

Now that I probably cannot become a better athlete, I channel my energy to try to make my patients better quicker. I want to teach better too, plus I get to meet course participants in the process.

And we do have foreign participants as well from Indonesia (Sports doctor) and from Malaysia of course. Even Elaine from Tunku Abdul Rahman University College who previously attended my Introduction to Kinesio Taping course in Malaysia came for this course.

Kinesio Taping KT Level 1 on 111213

The year seems to have flown by, it's already eleven twelve thirteen and just enough time to fit in one final Kinesio Taping KT Level 1,2 course for 2013.

It's also the first time this course is held on a week day @Progress Healthcare. Previously it's always held over Saturday and Sunday.

Other than the local participants, we also have participants from Indonesia and Philippines who flew in for the course specially.

Another Pregnant Mummy Attends Kinesio Taping Course

Yes, we have another pregnant mummy coming to the Kinesio Taping Level 1 and 2 course held over the last 2 days at Progress Healthcare (the Singapore Kinesio Tape distributor).

Pregnant mummy Wang Ran, a Hong Kong trained physiotherapist is 8 months pregnant and still came for the course paying her own way as the hospital she works in did not set aside any budget for her to do the course. Previously we had another pregnant mummy coming to the course too.

Besides the locals, there was a participant from Abu Dhabi, 2 Indonesians, and an English physio as well. Local running coach Fabian Williams was one of the local participants who attended. This course is definitely attracting more and more people via word of mouth thanks to our previous participants.

Guess Who Dropped By During Kinesio Taping KT Level 1 On 160313?

We had our first Kinesio Taping KT Level 1 and 2 course of the year in Singapore today @ Progress Healthcare. We had a great group of participants in this current course. Most were local participants although we had an overseas participant from India.

Can you guess who else dropped by during the course?

Guess who showed up near the end of  today?

Yes, you guessed correctly. Ronald Susilo (retired former national shuttler) played in the National Badminton  Championships today. Despite having retired a few years ago, he was still good enough to win his quarter and semi finals today against current national players and qualifies for the finals tomorrow. As a result he needed some help from Gino and Kinesio taping of course. (Dalong was extra happy to have Ronald drop by of course).
